PRIVILEGED VISA
 
The privileged visa can be one of the following types:
  • “privileged visa type A” - it is granted to the foreign citizen with  investment superior to the equivalent of 50 000 000,00 USD or with  investment carried out in development zone C;
  • “privileged visa type B” - is granted to the foreign citizen with investment inferior to the equivalent of 50 000 000,00 USD and superior to 15 000 000,00 USD;
  • “privileged visa type C” - is granted to the foreign citizen with investment inferior to the equivalent of 15 000 000,00 USD and superior to 5 000 000,00 USD.
  • “privileged visa type D” - is granted to the foreign citizen with investment inferior to the equivalent of 5 000 000,00 USD.

 

Requirements to obtain Privileged Visa
  1. Hold a travel document with validity superior to at least six months;
  2. The travel document mentioned above must be the valid and recognized travel document for the Angolan territory;
  3. Color copy of the main pages of the travel document, as well as copies of the pages containing visas;
  4. To hold a passport and be of legal age;
  5. Two  application forms properly filled and equal number of photos;
  6. The holder of the passport must have fulfilled all the sanitary dispositions established by the Ministry of Health to enter the Angolan territory;
  7. Bank statement (the applicant must have an amount superior to ten thousand north American dollars/10.000,00 USD deposited in the account);
  8. Proof of Transference of Capital in accordance with the investment done;
  9. Proof from the Angolan Institution responsible for approving the private investment project;
  10. Medical Certificate issued by the sanitary authorities of native country or  the country of usual residence country;
  11. Declaration of compromise to respect and to fulfill the Angolan laws from the applicant;
  12. l) Pay the amount of $750.00 CAD by certified check or Money Order payable to the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Canada (the payment in cash will only be accepted in exceptional situations);
  13. Attach  to the process all the initial documents concerning the application of private investment: (ANIP website)
 
  • Application - Letter with  proposal of investment directed to the President of the ANIP;
  • Project of Statutes of the Corporation to be formed;
  • Certificate of Admissibility;
  • Copy of the Statutes of the Corporation, the Corporation Registration and VAT Registration, if it is a corporation;
  • Minutes of General Assembly in which was deliberated the Capital Subscription for the new Corporation;
  • Copy of the Identity Card or Passport, in case the applicant is a individual person;
  • Criminal Record Check, properly notarized for the Consular Services of the Republic of Angola in the usual residence or Native country, in case the applicant is an individual person;
  • Form of Prior Declaration properly filled.
  • Tax Payment Declaration for the last three months of the year.

It is important to note that, for foreign investments, all the documents concerning the process of investment application and visa application must be translated into Portuguese, and notarized by the Consular Services of the Embassy of Angola in Canada.

NOTE 1: The non-fulfillment of some of the points does not imply the refusal of the process.
NOTE 2: Whenever necessary, the Consular Sector reserves to itself the right to ask for other documents, as well as to call for interview.
