Necessary documents:

1. Marriage Certificate issued by the Canadian authorities properly recognized by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada (only the long form will be accepted);
2.  Full translation of the Marriage Certificate into Portuguese. The translation must be done by a certified translator and notarized by the Public Notary with the posterior authentication by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada;
3. If one of the betrotheds is foreign, Birth Certificate of the foreign citizen issued by the authorities of the native country and properly recognized by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada;
4. Residence Certificate from both betrotheds (fiancés);
5. Full translation into Portuguese of the documents mentioned in the previous points. The translation will have to be made by a certified translator and notarized by the Public Notary with the posterior authentication by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada;
6. Birth certificate (Angolan) of the Angolan citizen and  Identity Card;
7. Consular registration up to date of the Angolan citizen;

It is important to note that all documents concerning the process must be translated into Portuguese and notarized by the Consular Services of the Embassy of Angola in Canada.

Obs. Whenever necessary, the Consular Sector reserves to itself the right to ask for other documents, as well as to call for interview.
