A native of Simulambuco-Cabinda Angola , Mr. Miguel Maria Nzau Puna was born on February 23, 1932 and received his Bachelor degree of Agriculture and Economic Sciences in Tunisia

Mr. Puna was on the cutting-edge of most major reform legislation. He has been a leading figure in the march toward democracy and reconciliation of political forces in Angola and member of GURN (Government of Unity and National Reconciliation). Prior to this position in 1968 he was Appointed Secretary General of the political party (UNITA) as a Second Person. In 1992 he Split with UNITA and created a new political party TRD (Tendência de Reflexão Democratica) – President . From 1997 to 1999 he was Deputy Minister of Administration and Territories

Throughout his distinguished career, upon decree of the Chief Commander, he was promoted to a 3-stars General of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA)

Today, Mr. Nzau Puna is a Deputy of National Assembly.
