Necessary documents:

1. Birth Certificate issued by the Canadian authorities properly recognized by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada (only the Long Form will  be accepted);
2. Full translation of the Birth Certificate into Portuguese. The translation must be done by a certified translator and notarized by the Public Notary with posterior recognition by the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada;
3. One of following documents from the parents:
   • Birth certificate;
   • Identity Card;
   • Passport.
4. In the act of registering the Birth Certificate is mandatory the presence of one of the parents, when parents are married, if they are not married it is mandatory the presence of both parents, under the risk that the Registering Birth Certificate will not be done on the scheduled day.
5. Consular Registration up to date;
6. Pay the amount of $25.00 CAD by certified check or Money Order issued to the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Canada (the payment in cash will only be accepted under exceptional situations);

DELIVERY TIME:
10 business days counted from the date of the reception of all the requested documents.

Days for reception of documents: Monday, Wednesday and Friday;
Business Hours: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

NOTES:
NOTE 1: The non-fulfillment of some points does not imply the refusal of the process.
NOTE 2: Whenever necessary, the consulate reserves to itself the right to ask for other documents, as well as to call for interview.
NOTE 3: There will only be accepted documents of Angolans citizens’ children, if those children were born in Canada.
NOTE 4: The register by transcription confers the automatic attribution of a Personal Birth Book.
